Villagers block Bihia – Salempur road to protest firing

Ara : Irate villagers blocked Bihia-Salempur main road near Belwania village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district for about four hours on March 4, 2018, in protest against murderous attack on an elderly person Shahangu Nat of the village raising slogans against the police administration. They were demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants. The blockade was lifted after positive response from SHO, Bihia police station, Bilmesh Kumar.

The SHO said that some unidentified armed miscreant shot at and injured an elderly  perosn Sahangu Nat of village Belwania under Bihia police station in the wee hour on March 4 when he was sleeping at the gate of his house. His family members immediately rushed him to Ara Sadar Hospital. The SHO said that the police were conducting raids at different places to arrest the miscreants.
