Irate villagers block road in Buxar to protest murder on Holi

Buxar :Irate villagers blocked the road near village Ekrasi under Bagen police station in Buxar district for about three hours in protest against murder of a youth at the village on the day of festival of colour on March 2, 2018. They also set ablaze several huts in the Dalit Tola of the village that gutted at least 50 huts including that of named accused besides three shops.

SHO, Bagen police station, Srimant Suman said that two groups clashed at village Ekrasi e under the police station in the evening on March 2 over a trivial, during which Ranjeet Chaudhary, 28, son of Rajendra Chaudhary, member of one the groups, was stabbed to death. A named FIR was lodged Bagen police station against six persons: Darob Musahar, Rajendra Musahar, Lalji Musahar, Bhushan Musahar, Sanju Musahar and one other person but no arrest has so far been made in this regard so far.
