Matric examinees set afire Buxar Muffassil police station

Buxar : Matriculation examinees demanding cancellation of Mathematics paper ent on rampage and set ablaze Buxar Muffassil police station and some vehicles parked there on February 26, 2018. They also damaged the GRP police station, Station Master cabin, inquiry counter at Buxar railway station under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, and threw all the goods of the police stations on the railway track paralysing movement of trains on Up and Down lines for about three hours.

No police personnel dared stop the agitating students and instead escaped from the scene. Finally, Buxar DM and the SP reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

The matriculation examinees were annoyed from the Mathematics paper after taking the examination on February 26. After the examination, they got agitated and claimed that the questions asked were out of the syllabus and demanded cancellation of the math exam.

The disturbance started from the eastern part of Itadhi around 2 pm where the rampaging students set ablaze Buxar Muffassil police station and also some vehicle parked there and then reached Buxar railway station and damaged the Station Master cabin, Inquiry counter and the GRP police station on platform no 1.

Seeing rampaging students, police personnel escaped from the scene. The students threw all furniture and documents of the GRP on the rail track. The disturbance continued till 5pm. The DM and the SP rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the students but when they did not disperse they ordered for lathicharge after which the students fled away from the spot.
