Patna : India made 188/4 in 20 overs against South Africa in the 2nd T20I at SuperSport Park, Centurion, South Africa, riding on a brilliant unbeaten 79 in 48 balls by Manish Pandey and an explosive 52 not out in 28 balls by wicketkeeper M S Dhoni. Dhoni hit 3 sixes and 4 fours in his 52 while Pandey hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his 79.

Asked to bat first by South Africa, who won the toss, India had lost their first three wickets for 45 only with opener Rohit Sharma getting out for duck while Captain Virat Kohli was out for 1. Shikhar Dhawan was out for 24 in 14 bals hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes. Suresh Raina made 30 in 24 balls hitting 5 fours. Pandey and Dhoni were involved in an unbeaten stand of 98 runs for the fifth wicket.

For South Africa, Junior Dala took 2/28 and J P Duminy 1/13. Andile Phehlukwayo took 1/15.
