Bagaha : Chautarwa police station in Bagaha police district on February 17, 2018, lodged a case against around five dozen unknown villagers including three women for attacking a woman and a man at a village.
Police sources said that Munni Devi, in her FIR, alleged that Akhil Kishore Prasad, son of Brijalal Prasad, had forcibly entered her house with evil intentions.
Akhil Kishore Prasad, on the other hand, in a case lodged with the police station, alleged that Munni Devi, wife of Tunna Sao, had called him over on his Mobile phone. He alleged that as he reached there, around five dozen villagers including women gathered there and forcibly dragged both of them out from her house and thrashed and then paraded them on the road after smearing their faces with black colour. SHO, Chautarwa PS, Samrat Dipak, along with force reached the spot and rescued the couple.
SHO Samrat Dipak said that Akhil Kishore Prasad had been arrested and sent to jail on February 18.
