Patna : Rafael Nadal, 31, Spain, and Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, continue to hold Number 1 and Number 2 positions in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings released on February 12, 2018. Marin Cilic, 29, Coatia, is Number 3 and Alrxander Zverev, 20, Germany, is Number 4 followed by Grigor Dimitor, 26, Bulgaria, at Number 5 and Dominic Thiem, 24, Austria, at Number 6.
Former World Number 1 and 12 time Grand Slam title winner Novak Djokovic, 30, Serbia, is placed at Number 14 while another former World Number 1 Andy Murray, 30, UK, is ranked Number 21st.
The biggest jump in the latest ATP rankings has been made by Mirza Basic, 26, of Bosnia & Herzegovina. Mirza Basic has jumped 52 places in the ATP rankings after winning the Sofia, Bulgaria, Open ATP title defeating Marius Copil, 27, Romania, and is ranked 77th compared to his last ranking of 129. Copil has jumped 19 places to be ranked 74th. Another player making a big jump is Roberto Carballes Baena, 24, Spain. Baena has jumped 31 places to be ranked 76th in the ATP rankings after winning Equador Open at Quito.
Yuki Bhambri, 25, India, is ranked 112 in the latest ATP rankinhs while Ramkumar Ramnathan, 21, India, is ranked 141st slipping one position. Sumit Nagal, 20, India, is ranked 217 jumping three positions. N Sriram Balaji, 27, India, has jumped 5 positions and is ranked 383.
