Sitamarhi: The Parsauni police in Sitamarhi district on February 11, 2018, recovered body of Geetanjali Devi, 27, with strangulation marks from her- in- laws’ house at village Dhangar. The deceased had a history of stressful life because of dowry demands from in-laws. She was married to Shashi Kumar eight years back. Her father Jagdish Rai, a resident of village Dhankaul in Sheohar district, lodged an FIR against Geetanjali’s in-laws. Police have arrested her mother- in -law Kanti Devi while other family members are absconding.
