Patna : A special court in Delhi on February 8, 2018, summoned Dr Misa Bharti, MP, daughter of jailed RJD Chief Lalu Prasad, and her husband Shailesh Kumar as accused in a money laundering case. It also summoned Bharti’s firm Mishail Packers and Printers as accused in the case and directed all the accused to appear before it on March 5, 2018.

The court passed the order after taking cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), according to sources. The ED had on December 23, 2017, filed its final report against Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar in the case.

The ED  had earlier attached a Delhi farmhouse of the couple located at 26, Palam Farms in south Delhi’s Bijwasan area, in connection with its money-laundering probe. The farmhouse was attached provisionally under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). It was in the name of M/s Mishail Packers and Printers Private Limited, according to ED sources.
