Youth shot dead at Ara

Ara : Some unidentified armed persons tied a youth Raja with a pole in Balbatara locality under Town Police Station, Ara, beat him up and later shot him dead on February 6, 2018. When the brother of the deceased went to Town Police Station, Ara, in Bhojpur district on February 6 to inform police that some miscreants were beating his brother Raja, police allegedly shooed him away. On his return to the spot, he found his brother dead.

SHO, Town police station, J P Singh, said that police went to Balbatara locality after getting information but by that time  the miscreants had escaped from the scene after killing the youth. Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar hospital for autopsy. The SHO said that  police were conducting raids to arrest the assailants.
