Patna : Bihar Road Construction Department (RCD) Minister Nand Kishore Yadav on January 27, 2018, said that the state government was working on a Land Pool formula to avoid delay in acquisition of land for road projects.

Interacting with member of Bihar Industries Association (BIA), the RCD Minister said that the government was prposing to acquire land 2.5 times more than required for a road project under this formula, develop it and then return half of the hand to the land owner concerned if they want. The land owners would benefit from this formula. he said adding that the land owners interested in money for their land would get adequate price from the government. The government is also considering a proposal for construction of elevated roads, the Minister said.

BIA  Chairman K P S Keshri while appreciating the works done on road cosntruction front resulting in economic development of Bihar leading to stressed on construction of more roads.
