Patna : World Number 6 Marin Cilic, Croatia, moved into the semi-finals of Australian Open (AO) 2018 after World Number 1 Rafael Nadal, Spain, retired injured in the fifth set of their quarterfinals match on January 23, 2018. Cilic, the 2014 US Open Champion and Wimbledon finalist in 2017, prevailed 3-6, 6-3, 6-7, 2-6, 2-0 over Nadal, who suffered hip injury during the fourth set and was limping.
