New Delhi : As per preliminary reports received from the States, the total area sown under Rabi crops as on January 12, 2018, stands at 609.51 lakh hectare as compared to 615.09 lakh hectare this time in 2017. Wheat has been sown/transplanted in 295.53 lakh hectare, paddy in 20.57 lakh hectare, pulses in 160.91 lakh hectare, coarse cereals in 53.88 lakh hectare and oilseeds in 78.62 lakh hectare, according to a PIB release.
