Prabhu chairs meeting of Task Force on AI

New Delhi : Commerce & Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu on January 9, 2018, chaired a meeting of the Task Force on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) for India’s Economic Transformation at Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi today.  The Task Force was created with the members from Industry, academia and Government to suggest policy intervention with respect to use of Artificial Intelligence and giving inputs for the Industrial Policy on August 24, 2017.

The Task Force has, after detailed discussion with various stakeholders, drafted its preliminary recommendation.  These recommendations were discussed and the Minister gave his suggestions for consideration by the Task Force. The major consulting firm Accenture also presented findings of their recent study on Artificial Intelligence titled ‘Remix for Growth’, according to a PIB release.
