Patna : Captain Rohit Sharma hit the fasest century by an Indian, joint fastest overall,  in T20 International in only 35 deliveries against Sri Lanka at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, Madhya Pradesh on December  22, 2017, in the second of three-match T20 International series. Rohit also called Rohit Hitman Sharma was finally out to D Chameera for 118 in only 43 balls. South African David Miller had also scored T20 century in 35 balls.

Rohit was absolutely unstoppable playing an incredible innings. It was a sensational knock studded with 10 sixes and 12 fours. It was second T20 Internation century for Rohit. He had made 106 against South Africa in T20 International at Dharamsala in 2015.

India were 236/1 after 18 over with opener Lokesh Rahul batting on 83 in 47  balls with 5 fours and 7 sixes and M S Dhoni batting on 26 in 18 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes.  Rohit and K L Rahul were involved in an opening partnership of 165. Rohit has hit 67 sixes in international matches in 2017.
