Cops foil loot bid of criminals in Muzaffarpur,10 held

Muzaffarpur : Police on December 8, 2017, evening, foiled the bid of criminals to loot Rs 15 lakh cash from a businessman besides looting his vehicle on NH 28 under Motipur police station in Muzaffarpur district by arresting 10 criminals at Varji bridge. Police also seized the two Centro Cars of the criminals.

SSP, Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar, had informed DSP, West, Muzaffarpur, at 3.30 pm on December 8 that criminals moving in two Centro Cars in Motipur area were planning to loot cash from a businessman besides his vehicle. DSP, West, immediately alerted the Inspector and SHO, Motipur police station.

SHO, Motipur, with force started checking vehicles at Varji Bridge on NH 28. Seeing police, the criminals took to heels leaving their two vehicles behind on NH 28 but police succeeded in arresting all the 10 criminals after a hot chase.

The ten arrested criminals were identified as Devi Lal Sahni, Vijay Sahni, Alvendra Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Upendra Mahto, Ravindra Kumar, Lal Babu Mahto, Rama Kumar Sahni, Chhotey Lal Sahni and Rama Manjhi. Police seized four Desi Katta, 11 live rounds and two bottles of Royal Stag from their possession. The arrested criminals admitted that they were planning to loot Rs 15 lakh from the trader on NH besides his car.
