Motihari trader kidnapped from Bettiah

Bettiah : A trader of Bhawanipur Jirat under Chhitauni police station in East Champaran district Amit Kumar, 44, was allegedly kidnapped by a gang of kidnappers from Bettiah Town, headquarters of West Champaran district, on November 28, 2017.

The trader had gone to Bettiah on a motorbike to search one of his staff but when he did not return home even after a week, his family members started searching for him and finally lodged a kidnapping case with Town police station, Bettiah.

SHO, Bettiah town police station, Nityanand Chauhan, said that the trader’s brother Vinit Kumar lodged a kidnapping case against unknown with the Town police station on December 4, 2017. Police are searching for the kidnappers to recover the trader. His bike is also traceless, the SHO said.
