Police arrest Buxar gang rape accused

Buxar : Police, on a tip off, arrested a  gang rape accused Vijay Yadav alias Gulari Yadav of Tilak Rai ka Hata under Simri police station in Buxar district on November 1, 2017. Later, police forwarded him to jail. He was absconding arrest since August 12, 2017.

SI, Simri Police station, Nitu Priya said that Sanjay Paswan, a BJP leader, along with his aides had lured his relative of village Ataw in Buxar district and took her to a secluded place at Tilak Rai Ka Hata where all of them gangraped her on August 11, 2017. They also shot at her and escaped but fortunately she survived and some fishermen of Balia district in UP hearing her cry in the morning next day, admitted her to Balia Sadar hospital.

The survivor had lodged a named FIR with police against six persons including her relative. The SI said that with the arrest of Vijay Yadav all the named accused had been arrested and sent to jail.
