Ara students protest exorbitant prices of stamps

Ara : Hundreds of students blocked the road near Ara Civil Court on October 30, 2017, for two hours raising slogans against Bhojpur district administration and the state government in protest against selling of stamps at exorbitant price.

The students said that the stamp vendors were selling stamps of Rs 10 and Rs 20 value at Rs 60 and Rs 70 respectively. They said they needed stamps of Rs 10 and Rs 20 for filling up forms for the army recruitment. They alleged that whenever any vacancy is published, the stamp vendors start selling stamps at exorbitant price but no action is taken by the officials concerned.
