Nadal crushes Kyrgios to win China Open

Patna : World No. 1 tennis player and 16 time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal, 31, crushed Australian Nick Kyrgios, 22,  6-2, 6-1 in the final to win the China Open, an ATP 500 event, in Beijing on October 8, 2017. He was in complete control of the match from the word go.

Nadal  claimed his 75th career title after winning the China Open for the second time. He had first won the China Open in 2005 but lost to Novak Djokovic in the finals in 2013 and 2015. Nadal now leads Kyrgios 3-2 head to head. This was Nadal’s sixth title in 2017. Interestingly, Nadal had to save two match points in his  first round win over Lucas Pouille. Djokovic did not play this year due to injury.
