Police arrest 7 members of dreaded Titli Mhto gang in Begusarai

Begusarai : Police and Special Task Force (STF), in a joint operation, arrested seven members of dreaded Titli Mahto gang from Kamalpur Diara ( riverine belt) under Balia police station in Begusarai district on September 2, 2017, morning, after a 30 minute encounter.

Police arrested the seven criminals after a 3o minute encounter in Kamalpur Diara, said Begusarai SP Aditya Kumar adding there was no casualty in the encounter. SP Kumar said that police seized a regular rifle, three muskets, two desi Katta, 55 live rounds and four mobile phones from the possession of the arrested criminals.

Police conducted raid in Kamalpur diara on a tip off that the members of Titli Mahto gang had assembled there. When police reached the place where the criminals were holding meeting, they started firing on police. Police also retaliated and the encounter lasted for thirty minutes. Finally, police succeeded in arresting seven members of the gang. Titli Mahto gang has unleashed terror in the district for the last several years.
