Ranchi (Jharkhand) : Two brothers : Avinash , 27, and Ravishankar, 25 , were crushed to death by a speeding truck on August 4, 2017, around 10 am near Kothar overbridge on Ramgarh highway while their only sister Rajni was injured when a truck coming from behind hit the trio who were en route their village in Darbhanga district in North Bihar from Ranchi on a motorcycle. Rajni has been admitted at Ramgarh hospital with multiple wounds but is now out of danger. The deceased were sons of Ashweshwar Thakur, a resident of Krishnapuri, Road Number 1, Ranchi.

According to Rajni, in her statement to police, said since she suffers from nausea while travelling in bus, both her brothers offered to take her to Darbhanga on occasion of Rakhi on their motorcycle and started off  from their Ranchi residence at 9 am on August 4. At Ramagarh a truck coming at very fast speed hit their bike from behind after which she fell down on road while her brothers came under its wheels and were dragged for over 100 metres.
The local rushed to help the injured youth and started shouting for help but the truck driver did not stop and sped away along with the truck. An fir was lodged with Ramagarh police station in this regard.
