FIR against Revenu employee in AMC land scam

Ara : Circle Officer (CO), Ara, Rajeev Ranjan, lodged a named FIR with Nawada police station, Ara, on July 31, 2017, against a revenue employee Santosh Kumar, son of Ganesh Singh of Baseya under Piro police station, in connection with a municipal land scam.

CO Rajeev Ranjan said that Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) had 61 decimal of land ( Khata no 71 and Khesara no 225, 226) at Singhai Mauza, Ara. The CO said someone had got its receipt from the Ara circle office in a fraudulent  manner in 2016 and an LPC was also issued. When the fraud came to surface, an inquiry was ordered into it. During the inquiry, involvement of a revenue employee was detected in the scam and so an FIR was lodged against him, the CO said.

It may be mentioned here that a named FIR was recently lodged with Nawada police station against 22 land mafias including a hotel owner, the then Registrar’s his family members, a businessman, Chairman, Church of India, Aligarh, UP, in connection with sale and purchase of government land (Kesar-e-Hind) near the Methodist Church by producing fake documents.
