Bagaha : West Champaran DM Lokesh Kumar Singh on June 21 cancelled licence of a Kerosene Oil wholesale dealer Messrs Ranjan Jyoti Service for alleged irregularities in the distribution of Kerosene Oil among PDS dealers. Narayan Singh, its proprietor, belongs to village Malahi under Thakaraha police station under Bagaha Sub-division of the district.
SDM, Bagaha, Dharmendar Kumar said that he had ordered an inquiry into the matter on May 2, 2017, after receiving complaints of irregularities in Kerosene Oil distribution among Public Distribution System Dealers (PDS) by the wholesale dealer. The probe team found 6,500 litres of Kerosene Oil excess in the stock of the wholesale dealer while the same was shown as having been distributed among 7 PDS dealers. Circle officer cum Marketing Officer, Thakaraha, Rakesh Kumar had lodged a case in this connection with Thakaraha police station under 7 EC Act.
