Darbhanga : Uttar Pradesh (UP) CM Yogi Adityanath Yogi while addressing a political rally at Raj Ground at Darbhanga in North Bihar said that he will ensure there is a BJP government in Bihar in 2020. Speaking  from behind bulletproof glass, Adityanath said the alliance between JD(U) and RJD is a big mismatch. ” I will fight to ensure ouster of the present Bihar government. I will visit every district of Bihar,” the UP CM said. Darbhanga is a divisional headquarters and 127 km away from Patna.

Taking a dig at Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Adityanath said that the former has remained silent over the issue of triple talaq. ” What has Nitish done? Why is he not talking about triple talaq? We don’t differentiate on the basis of religion or caste,” Adityanath  thundered at the rally. The UP CM said he would connect Bihar’s Sitamarhi district with Ayodhya.

UP CM Adityanath Yogi’s visit has garnered a lot of media attention. It assumes significance as the BJP is banking on PM Modi, party Chief Amit Shah and Adityanath to make inroads in the states  not considered its traditional base. Nitish had on June 14 said at Darbhanga that Adityanath should implement the liqour ban and 50 % reservation for women in local bodies in UP.

Adityanath said that Nitish Kumar was not able to see what his government has done in the last three months. ” My government banned all illegal slaughterhouses within a fortnight, launched anti-Romeo squads and started many developmental works. Now women feel safe in UP, ” he said. Adityanath also urged the people not to vote on the basis of caste and focus on development.
Terming the three years of the Narendra Modi government as unprecedented, he said, “For the first time well planned schemes have been launched for youth, women, farmers and the poor.”

Senior BJP and former Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi said that Nitish Kumar was so scared of Adityanath that he himself visited  Darbhanga on June 14, 2017, but addressed a gathering of only 700 while Adityanath addressed a rally of more than one lakh people.
