Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : In a move to inform the newly admitted students of Class XI and their parents about the school’s philosophy, an orientation programme was held at DPS, Bokaro on June 13 where the students were made aware of the initiatives and endeavours of the school including the rules and regulations that complimented the holistic education.
On this occasion, Praneet Kumar (2004 batch), an entrepreneur with a Law Degree, Riya Kejriwal (2010 batch), UPSC Civil Services 2o17 qualifier ( 176 Rank) and a group of students who have qualified IITJEE Advanced 2017 including Aditya Mishra, Dipesh Kumar, Deepesh Kumar Lall, Tanya Sneh and Siddharth Lall were present and addressed the students. Nipunj and Aditya Pandey 2015-16 batch were also present on the occasion. They informed the students about the preparations for CAT as another challenging career option.
Expressing his gratitude to the Alma mater, Praneet told the audience that he owes his success to the education imparted at the school besides the academic atmosphere. He emphasised on exploring newer options.
Recalling her school days, Riya Kejriwal (who cracked UPSC in 2017) said, “Nothing is impossible, hard work and perseverance is the key to success.” She reminisced the time spent at the school and said that the school and the teachers provided a congenial atmosphere for students to think, grow and progress. JEE Advanced 2017 qualifiers shared some useful tips on how to prepare for the IITJEE exams.
Hemlata S. Mohan, Director & Principal, DPS Bokaro, said that the school provides holistic education with the objective to develop the overall personality of the students. She stressed that parents should not pressurize their wards to do things as per their desire and urged them to spend quality time with their wards and regularly check the school website for updates from the school. She said that DPS Bokaro has the reputation of being one of the best schools in the country because of the efforts of its dedicated teachers, hard work of the students and positive contributions from the parents.
