Five IAS officers shifted, additional charge to two

Patna : Bihar government on June 13, 2017, transferred five IAS officers including the DMs of Purnia and Madhubani districts and gave additional charge to two other IAS officers. Purnia DM and an IAS officer of 2002 batch Pankaj Kumar Pal, who is currently on training, has been transferred and appointed Special Secretary, Labour Resources Department.

Pal will also hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Executive Officer, Bihar Skill Development Mission, Patna, and Director, Employment and Training, Labour Resources Department. Pradip Kumar Jha, an IAS officer of 2006 batch and Additional Secretary, Health Department, has been appointed DM, Purnia.

Madhubani DM and an IAS officer of 2008 batch Giriwar Dayal Singh has been transferred and appointed Joint Secretary, Education Department. Shirsat Kapil Ashok, an IAS officer of 2011 batch and MD, Bihar State Water Board, has replaced him as DM, Madhubani. Sanjay Kumar Singh, an IAS officer of 2007 batch and Additional Secretary, Labour Resources Department, goes to Health Department as Additional Secretary.

Dr Patima S Verma, an IAS officer of 2002 batch and Additional Mission Director, Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society, has been given additional charge of  MD, Bihar State Water Board, and Chief Executive Officer, Patna Mahanagar Regional Authority. She is currently on training. Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal, an IAS officer of 2005 batch and Additional Secretary, CM Secretariat, has been given additional charge of Additional Secretary, Rural Development Department. The General Administration Department issued a notification to this effect on June 13.
