Ara : The patients at Ara Sadar Hospital and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Bhojpur district will now get better nursing facilities as 86 new Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) were inducted into service on June 3, 2017.

The oath taking and capping ceremony of the ANMs was organized on June 3 and the Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr Ras Bihari Singh inaugurated the function on the campus of Ara Sadar Hospital. These ANMs were imparted training at the ANM Training School on the campus of Ara  Sadar Hospital. Principal, ANM Training School, Asha Kumari, led the candle march by the ANMs after which they  assembled in a big hall where the Civil Surgeon gave caps to the trained ANMs. The ANMs took oath  that they would serve the ailing persons without any discrimination and with dedication and  follow the nursing service code.
Speaking on the occasion, the CS said that serving humanity is the greatest service and nurses should serve the patients with dedication.  Altogether 254 ANMs have been trained at the ANM Training School in the last four years. Fortytwo ANMs in 2014, 35 in 2015, 52 in June 2016, 39 in December 2016 and 86 in June 2017 ANMs have been inducted in the clinical services after training.
