Police seize 14 gm Heroin at Ara

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raids in Gangi area under Town police station, Ara, on May 28, 2017,  evening and seized 14 gram of Heroin though the drug smugglers escaped seeing the police.

SHO, Ara Town Police Station, J P Singh said that he got information that some drug smugglers had come to Gangi area to purchase Heroin and so he with other police officials immediately conducted raids in the area. He said that seeing police the smugglers escaped throwing the packets of Heroin behind which police seized.

Gangi area under Ara Town police station has become a hub of narcotics and drug peddlers in the district get Ganja, Heroin and Opium from the area. The mastermind of the trade supplies narcotics through his agents. He and his associates entice young girls and boys into this trade by making them lucrative offer to operate as carriers. These girls work as domestic help and operate near girl schools, colleges and even boys schools and colleges. In recent past, police had arrested two drug peddlers along with narcotics.
