New Delhi : Union Minister for Water Resources River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti on May 23, 2017, congratulated Madhya Pradesh Government for banning sand mining in river Narmada. She described it as “Right step at the right moment”, according to a PIB release.
In her message sent to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union minister Uma Bharti congratulated him for this bold step and expressed hope that it would go a long way in conserving river Narmada.
