Patna : Leader of Opposition in Bihar legislative council Sushil Kumar Modi ( SuMo), in a twit on May 21, 2017, described the rally being organised by RJD Chief Lalu Prasad at Patna Gandhi Maidan on August 27, 2017, as ` Benami Sampatti Bachao Rally’. The RJD chief wants to save his Benami property through this rally, Modi alleged. But, Lalu Prasad will not succeed in his game, the former Bihar Deputy chief minister said adding the RJD chief has already admitted that the biggest Mall of Bihar being constructed at Patna at a cost of Rs 750 crore belongs to his family.
Modi said that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had demanded action against owners of Benami property soon after demonetisation but after the Benami property of Lalu Prasad’s family has hit the headlines he ( Nitish) has become silent. Modi said if Nitish attends Lalu’s rally, it would mean he was supporting corrupt leaders.
But, Lalu has said that the BJP and RSS fear him hence projecting a bad image of him and his party.
