Ara  : Over a dozen inmates of Ara jail were injured when two groups clashed with each other over supremacy in the jail on May 17, 2017. Butan Chaudhary group and Babloo Tatwa group clashed inside the Ara jail and injured over a dozen inmates. Senior officials of the district immediately rushed to Ara jail and brought the situation under control.

Butan Chaudhary of village Belaru under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district was arrested with AK 47 about a year ago and Babloo Tatawa of Ara under Town police station was arrested for demanding extortion money from a coaching institute owner and bomb blast at Ara about eight month ago. Both are said to be bitter enemies and always clashed inside the jail.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that a person was killed in Sankat Mochan locality under Nawada police station, Ara, a few days ago. The gang of Babloo Tatwa has been blamed for the crime while Butan Chaudhary is said to be supporter of the deceased. This is said to be the cause behind clash between the two groups. The SP said that both the groups had clashed three days back too but other inmates of the jail had pacified members of the rival groups.
