Five maoists arrested in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : Police arrested Maoist Area Commander, Saraiya, in Muzaffarpur district, Rambali Paswan, from village Marwa Pakar and four other naxalites including Musafir Sahni alias Alokji from village Ramnagar in the district in connection with several incidents of naxal violence since 2013.

Giving information about arrest of five Maoists, Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar said that Rambali Paswan was involved in 13 incidents of naxal violence including murder of brother and uncle of a Primary Agriculture Credit Society (PACS) president under Kurhni police station in 2013, setting ablaze a Mixing Plant at Rajepur and JCB machine at Nawanagar, both under Sahebganj police station in 2013, and a bus at Ramchandrapur Devaria under Devaria police station in 2013.

The SSP said that Rambali Paswan was allegedly also involved in murder of Munna Paswan under Saraiya police station in 2014, setting afire 14 vehicles of a construction company on Turki railway station campus in March 2016, blowing up a brick kiln at Marwa Pakar in December 2016, and setting afire the office of JKM construction company under Sakra police station in 2014. Police seized four naxal pamphlets, a countrymade pistol and three live rounds from his possession. The SSP said that Rambali was arrested from Saraiya in July 2014 and sent to jail but came out of jail on bail in November 2015.

As far as Musafair Sahni, a regional committee secretary of CPI( Maoist), Anail Sahni and two other naxalites: Ganesh Rai and Shiv Kumar, are concerned, SSP Vivek Kumar said that they were arrested from village Ramnagar under Sakra police station in connection incidents of naxal violence and police seized 14 detonators, a countrymade pistol, five live rounds, naxal literature and leaflets, and18 live rounds of 7.6 mm pistol from their possession. Musafir Sahni had earlier managed to give a slip to cops on a few occasions in the past.
