Patna : The state government on March 30, 2017, promoted 21 officers of Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) to the rank of Additional Secretary. The promotion is provisional and subject to Supreme Court judgement in an SLP in Bihar government vs Sushil Kumar Singh.
The BAS officers promoted are : Uday Krishna, Ajay Kumar, Mohd Shamim, Jagjit Kaur Ghai, Pradip Kumar, Madhurani Thakur, Mithilesh Kumar, Vivekanand Jha, Subhash Chandra Jha, Mohd Bashir, Ishwar Chandra Sharma, Jai Prakash Singh, Arshad Aziz, Shobhendra Kumar Chaudhary, Harendranath Dubey, Vijay Kumar, Ajay Kumar Thakur, Ishwar Chandra Sinha, Kumar Ramanuj, Surendra Jha and Gorakh Nath. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued a notification regarding their promotion on March 30.
