CPI(ML) demands implementation of Bandopadhyay commission report

Bagaha : The West Champaran unit of CPI(ML) on March 29, 2017, launched a three- day satyagraha movement at B R Ambedkar statue, Bagaha, to press for implementation of D Badopadhyay Commission’s report on land reforms. The party’s polit bureau member Birendra Gupta on March 29 said that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar  had earlier recommended implementation of recommendations of the commission but it stopped after two years in 2007. He said landless people were still deprived of homestead land despite holding land parchas. He said that in rural and town areas several families were living on different plots for decades but were yet to get legal parchas.
