Bagaha : Tirupati Sugars Limited, Bagaha, one of the nine sugar factories the private sector in Bihar, stands at the top (91.65%) as far as payment of sugarcane price to the cane growers goes, according to a report of State Sugar Mills Association submitted to Bihar government recently. Y S Bhatanagar, General Manager (personnnel), Tirupati Sugars Ltd, said that there are four sugar factories in West Champaran district. Ramnagar Sugar factory stands second (88.88%) while Narkatiaganj and Majhaulia were placed at third (80.56%) and fourth (65%) positions respectively in the matter of sugarcane price payment to the cane growers in the state.
