New Delhi : The number of COVID-19 patients declared cured rose to 9,88,029 in India at 8 am on July 29, 2020, an increase of 35,286 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases in the country by 4,78,582. The number of active cases in the country stands at 5,09,447.
On the negative side, the COVID death toll in India increased to 34,193 with 768 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country including 282 from Maharashtra, 102 from Karnataka, 58 from Andhra Pradesh, and 41 from UP.
The Coronavirus death toll break-up in India is : Maharashtra (14,165), Delhi (3,881), Tamilnadu (3,659), Gujarat (2,372), Karnataka (2,055), Uttar Pradesh (1,497), West Bengal (1,449), Andhra Pradesh ( 1,148), Madhya Pradesh (830), Rajasthan (644), Telengana (480), Haryana (406), Punjab (336), J&K (333), Bihar (269), Odisha (154), Jharkhand (89), Assam (88), Uttarakhand (70), Kerala (67), Puducherry (47), Chhattisgarh (46), Goa (36), Tripura (21), Himachal Pradesh (14), Chandigarh (14), Meghalaya (5), Nagaland (5), Ladakh (6), Arunachal Pradesh (3), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu( 2), Andaman & Nicobar( 1), and Sikkim (1).
As far COVID patients getting cured goes, in Maharashtra 2,32,277 patients have been cured till date followed by 1,66,956 in Tamilnadu, 1,17,507 in Delhi, 44,520 in UP, 42,022 in West Bengal, 40,504 in Karnataka, and 25,758 in Haryana.
