New Delhi : A total of 94,612 COVID-19 patients were declared cured in India in last 24 hours in the country taking the tally to 43,03,043 at 8 am on September 20, 2020. The country also reported 92,605 new COVID-19 patients during last 24 hours taking the tally to 54,00,619.
Out of 54,00,619 COVID-19 cases reported till date in the country, a total of 43,03,043 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 79.68 %. The number of active cases was 10,10,824 in India on September 20, 2020, which is 18.72 % of the total cases reported so far in the country. The country has tested 6,36,61,060 COVID samples so far including a record 12,06,806 lakh samples on September 19, 2020.
The COVID-19 death toll climbed to 86,752 on September 20 with 1,133 new deaths being reported from different places across the country including 425 from Maharashtra, 114 from Karnataka, 84 from UP, 56 from West Bengal, 49 from Punjab, 66 from Tamilnadu, 58 from Andhra Pradesh, 38 from Delhi, 16 from Gujarat, 42 from MP, and 14 from Rajasthan. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.61% in the country on September 20, 2020.
The COVID-19 death toll break-up in India on September 20, 2020, is : Maharashtra (32,216), Tamilnadu (8,751), Karnataka (7,922), Delhi (4,945), Andhra Pradesh (5,302), Uttar Pradesh (4,953), West Bengal (4,298), Gujarat (3,302), Madhya Pradesh (1,943), Rajasthan (1,322), Punjab (2,757), Telengana (1,033), J&K (987), Haryana (1,120), Bihar (861), Odisha (691), Jharkhand (615), Assam (548), Uttarakhand (478), Kerala (519), Chhattisgarh (664), Puducherry (462), Goa (342), Tripura (239), Chandigarh (119), Andaman & Nicobar (52), Himachal Pradesh (1161), Ladakh (49), Manipur (55), Nagaland (15), Meghalaya (36), Arunachal Pradesh (13), Sikkim (25), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2 ).
