New Delhi : The massive increase in the number of COVID-19 patients getting cured/discharged continues in India with 92,043 patients being declared cured during last 24 hours taking the tally to 49,41,627 in the country exceeding the number of active cases (9,56,402) by a huge margin of 39,85,225 at 8 am on September 27, 2020. The country also reported 88,600 new cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 59,92,532.
The COVID-10 toll has increased to 94,503 in the country with 1,124 new deaths being reported from different places across the country including 430 from Maharashtra, 85 from Tamilnadu, 86 from Karnataka, 57 from Andhra Pradesh, 67 from UP, 56 from West Bengal, 54 from Punjab, 46 from Delhi, 13 from Gujarat, 40 from Chhattisgarh, and 14 from Rajasthan. Maharashtra alone accounts for 35,191 deaths due t0 COVID-19, according to Union Health Ministry figure. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.58% in the country on September 27, 2020.
Of the 59,92,532 COVID-19 cases reported in the country till date, altogether 49,41,627 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 82.46%. The number of active cases (9,56,402) was 15.96% of the total cases (59,92,532). India has tested 7,12,57,836 samples so far including 9,87,861 samples on September 26, 2020.
The COVID-19 death toll break-up in India on September 27, 2020, is : Maharashtra (35,191), Tamilnadu (9,233), Karnataka (8,503), Delhi (5,193), Andhra Pradesh (5,663), Uttar Pradesh (5,517), West Bengal (4,721), Gujarat (3,406), Madhya Pradesh (2,181), Rajasthan (1,426), Punjab (3,188), Telengana (1,100), J&K (1,125), Haryana (1,291), Bihar (886), Odisha (783), Jharkhand (670), Assam (638), Uttarakhand (566), Kerala (656), Chhattisgarh (817), Puducherry (500), Goa (391), Tripura (270), Chandigarh (145), Andaman & Nicobar (52), Himachal Pradesh (164), Ladakh (57), Manipur (64), Nagaland (16), Meghalaya (43), Arunachal Pradesh (14), Sikkim (31), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2 ).
