New Delhi : A total of 14,016 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours to take the tally to 1,05,48,521 in the country at 8 am on February 9, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (1,43,625) by a stupendous margin 1,04,04,896.  On the other hand, only 9,110 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,08,47,304 cases in the country on February 9, 2021.

The active cases accounted for just 1.32% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,08,47,304) recorded in the country cases on February 9, 2021, a drop of 4,984 cases in last 24 hours.

Of the 1,08,47,304 Covid-19 cases recorded in the country so far, altogether 1,05,48,521 patients have been declared cured in the country with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.25%. The country has tested 20,25,87,752 samples so far including 6,87,138 samples on February 8, 2021. Meanwhile, 62,59,008 corona warriors have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country so far including 4,46,646 beneficiaries on February 8, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The Covid-19 climbed to 1,55,158 in India on February 9, 2021, with 78 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 16 from Kerala, 15 in Maharashtra, 11 in Punjab, 4 in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Tamilnadu, 3 in Madhya Pradesh, 3 in Uttarakhand, 3 in Karnataka, 3 in Chhattisgarh, and 3 in Delhi. India had recorded 84 new deaths on February 8, 2021.
