Ara : A minor girl was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Amrayi Nawada Mor under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on November 2, 2018, morning. Irate villagers blocked Ara-Buxar main road near Amrayi Nawada with the body paralysing movement of vehicles for about two hours. They burnt tyres on road raising slogans against the district administration. They were demanding arrest of the driver of the vehicle and compensation to the family of the deceased.
The blockade was lifted after positive response from police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. SHO, Bihia police station, said that a UKG student of a private school, Suja Kumari, 9, daughter of Supreme Nonia of Amrayi Nawada, was going to her school in the morning when a speeding vehicle crushed her to death and escaped.
