New Delhi : A total of 89,746 COVI-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 45,87,613 in the country at 8 am on September 23, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (9,68,377) by a huge margin of 36,19,236. The country also reported 83,347 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 56,46,010 in the country. The number of active cases was 17.15% of the total cases (56,46,010) on September 23, 2020.
Of the 56,46,010 total COVID-19 cases reported in the country till date, altogether 45,87,613 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 81.25%. The country has tested 6,62,79,462 COVID samples till date including 9,53,683 samples on September 22, 2020.
The COVID-19 death toll jumped to 90,020 in India on September 23, 2020, with 1,085 new deaths being reported from different places across the country during last 24 hours. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.59 % in the country on September 23, 2020.
