New Delhi : The phenomenal increase in the recovery of COVID-19 patients continues in India with 89,154 patients being declared cured/discharged during last 24 hours in the country taking the tally to 60,77,976 at 8 am on October 11, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (8,67,496) by a massive margin of 52,10,480. The country, however, also reported 74,383 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 70,53,806 cases.

Of the 70,53,806 COVID-19 cases reported till date in the country, altogether 60,77,976 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 86.17%. The number of cases (8,67,496) in the country is 12.30% of the total COVID-19 cases ( 70,53,806) reported so far. India has tested 8,68,77,242 samples so far including 10,78,544 samples on October 10, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,08,334 in the country on October 11, 2020, with 918 new deaths being reported from different places during last 24 hours including 308 from Maharashtra, 102 from Karnataka, 67 from Tamilnadu, 62 from West Bengal, 60 from Uttar Pradesh, 48 from Delhi, 39 from Chhattisgarh, 35 from Andhra Pradesh, 25 from Punjab, 25 from Madhya Pradesh, 23 from Kerala, 15 from Odisha, 10 from Gujarat, and 9 from Assam.The Case Fatality Rate was 1.54% in the country on October 11, 2020, according to Union health Ministry figure.

The COVID-19 death toll break-up in India on October 11, 2020, is : Maharashtra (40,040), Tamilnadu (10,187), Karnataka (9,891), Delhi (5,740), Andhra Pradesh (6,194), Uttar Pradesh (6,353), West Bengal (5,563), Gujarat (3,557), Madhya Pradesh (2,599), Rajasthan (1,636),  Punjab (3,798), Telengana (1,222), J&K (1,313), Haryana (1,572), Bihar (944), Odisha (1,006), Jharkhand (784), Assam (811), Uttarakhand (734), Kerala (978),  Chhattisgarh (1,235), Puducherry (559), Goa (499), Tripura (315), Chandigarh (190),  Andaman & Nicobar (55), Himachal Pradesh (248), Ladakh (64), Manipur (88), Nagaland (17), Meghalaya (62), Arunachal Pradesh (23), Sikkim (55), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2 ).
