Patna : Bihar government has promoted 82 officers of Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) to the rank of Joint Secretary. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued a notification to this effect on March 30, 2017. The promotion given to these 82 BAS officers is provisional and subject to the Supreme Court order in an SLP, Bihar government vs Sushil Kumar Singh and others.

The BAS officers promoted to Joint Secretary rank include Khurshid Alam Khan, Bindeshwari Prasad, Arun Kumar Jha, Sugandh Chaturvedi, Abdur Rahman, Mukesh Dutt Sharma, Arun Kumar, Niranjan Kumar Jha, Ramji Sah, Mohd Murshid Alam, Jai Kumar Dwivedi, Ram Anugrah Narayan Singh, Dilip Kumar, Om Prakash Pal, Ramrup Prasad, Om Prakash Prasad, Nivedita Rai, Rekha Kumari, Indu Singh, Neelam Chaudhary, Ranghnath Chaudhary, Vijay Ranjan, Satish Kumar Sharma, Jai Shankar Mandal, Ajay Kumar Pandey, Krityanand Singh, Vinodanand Jha, Jiut Singh, Vimlesh Kumar Jha, Mohd Zafar Raquib, Rishidev Jha, Amod Kmar Sharan, Sanjay Kumar Upadhyayay,  Rakesh Mohan, Akhilesh Kumar Jha, Mohd Ansar Ahmad, Dayananad Mshra, Rashid Ahmad, Manoj Kumar Jha, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Durganand Jha, Pravin Kumar Gupta, Anil Kumar, Raj Kumar Jha, Umesh Singh and Kanhaiya Prasad Srivastava.
