Patna : A total of 81,177 COVID -19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 47,56,164 at 8 am on September 25, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (9,70,116) by a huge margin of 37,86,048. The country also registered 86,052 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 58,18,570 cases till date. The number of active cases was 16.67 % of the total cases reported so far in the country.
Of the 58,18,570 COVID cases reported so far in the country, altogether 47,56,164 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 81.74%. India has tested 6,89,28,440 CoVID samples so far including 14,92,409 samples on September 24, 2020.
On the negative side, COVID-19 death toll jumped to 92,290 in the country with 1,141 new deaths being reported in last 24 hours. Maharashtra alone has reported 34,345 deaths so far followed by 9,076 deaths in Tamilnadu, 8,331 deaths in Karnataka, and 5,558 deaths in Andhra Pradesh, and 5,366 deaths in UP. Delhi has reported 5,123 deaths till date. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.59% in the country on September 25, 2020.
