Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : The students of different schools of Bokaro Steel City on May 15, 2018, participated at the inaugural function of the Summer Camp organized by Bokaro steel plant administration.This year  more than  800 students are participating at this mega event which kicked off on May 15 at Mohan Kumar Mangalam Stadium, Sector IV, Bokaro Steel City,and  will continue till June 1, 2018,  with the closing ceremony on the day when certificates will be given to every participant..

Brimming with  enthusiasm to learn the finer tricks of their favorite games,  more than  800 school students of  more than three dozen schools of Bokaro Steel City are  participating at  the Summer Camp organised by Bokaro Steel Plant Sports & Civic department offering special coaching to budding players in 15 games this time including Archery, Cricket, Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Karate, Weightlifting and Chess.

All  these  games  are being held  at different venues of city including Mohan Kumar Mangalam Stadium, Cricket Stadium, Trainees Hostel Ground, Sector IV, Sector III, Sector II, Sector VI, Sector VIII, Sector XII and other places. The camp was inaugurated by Bokaro Steel Plant Deputy General Manager B J Prakash.

Chief of Communications of Bokaro Steel Plant M K Dhan while talking to this reporter on May 15 informed that they started hosting summer camps about 23 years ago to offer a much-needed break to children from studies during summer holidays, a long period. “ We  introduced Archery seven  years back in which maximum students show interest. Apart from valuable tips in each game, the children will take home certificates of participation also,”  Dhan stated
