Bagaha : About 800 bags of rice and wheat grains were found missing from a State Food Corporation (SFC) godown under Bagaha -2 Block in West Champaran district during an inspection carried out on October 6, 2018, by a team constituted by SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena. The godown was sealed the same day.

SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, on a secret information, on October 6, 2018, formed five teams of officials, who inquired into the position of grains kept in the State Food Corporation godowns meant for supply to PDS dealers located at Thakaraha, Dahawa, Ramnagar, Bagaha-1 and Bagaha-2. Blocks under Bagaha Sub-Division. The teams, after counting the bags of wheat and rice, found that stock registers and grain actually stored at the godowns differed.

An inspection of another SFC godown under the same block was carried out on October 7, 2018. The SDM said that the Additional District Supply Officer (ADSO), Bagaha, Shushil Kumar Sinha will lodge an FIR against Assistant Godown Manager Mohammad Ishhaq after the raids conclude.

It may be mentioned here that two days back, the SDM had seized about 20 bags of rotten wheat from a Godown under Bagaha -1 block.
