8 year old girl raped and killed at Bhojpur village

Ara : A youth killed an eight year old girl after outraging her modesty at village Karath under Tarari police station in BHojpur district late in the evening on May 4, 2018. Police recovered her half naked body from a bush at the village and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Resentment prevails among the family members and villagers following the incident. Senior police officials including Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar and Piro DSP Reshu Krishna rushed to the spot and pacified the people assuring them that the accused would be arrested at the earliest.

Piro DSP Reshu Krishna said that a student of Class III at Urdu Primary School, Karath, had gone to the field to attend call of nature on May 4 late evening where a youth outraged her modesty. Later, he slit her throat and killed her. An FIR has been lodged with Tarari police station in this regard but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
