Sitamarhi : Eight pieces of granite stone engraved idols of Gods and Goddesses surfaced at village Yogibana under Riga block in Sitamarhi district on March 31, 2017. They were found when the farmers were digging at a village site for construction work.
As per the villagers, the idols appear to be a few hundred years old. They hope for getting more and more ancient and archaeological value items of an ancient habitation here. Riga Block development officer (BDO)Ashok Kumar and SHO Sanjit Kumar have visited the site and proper requisition and information have been sent to the Archaeological Survey of India, Bihar branch, at Patna.
