Saharsa : Eight persons were injured when an ambulance carrying body of senior Dalit Sena leader Ram Kumar Paswan from  Delhi turned turtle and fell into a roadside ditch at Purani Bazaar, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, in Saharsa district on February 5 morning. Of the eight injured, condition of one is serious. All the injured were admitted to Bakhtiyapur sub-divisional hospital.

Ram Kumar was a native of village Pahlam in Saharsa district and was state president of youth wing of Dalit Sena. He had gone to Delhi on January 17, 2017, to meet LJP chief and union minister Ram Vilas Paswan after his recent illness. Police found him lying unconscious on a Delhi road on February 3 and admitted him to Loknayak Jai Prakash  Narain hospital where he died in the wee hours on February 4. Ram Kumar’s relatives alleged that union minister Ram Vilas Paswan did not go to the hospital to see him. Ram Kumar left behind his wife, five daughters, two sons and his father. Some of his relatives suspect foul play behind his death.
