Sitamarhi : The seventh phase of Panchayat election in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar passed off peacefully on November 15, 2021. The elections were held under Sursand, Parsauni, and Bairgania blocks amid tight security arrangements. Sitamarhi DM Sunil Kumar Yadav and SP Har Kishore Rai visited several booths on the day.
There were 215 polling booths in Sursand block for 1,27,707 voters. Altogether 58,678 voters under Parsauni and 63,633 voters under exercised their franchise under Bairgania blocks. The administrative arrangements were very quite vigorous to handle any eventuality. Special attentions were paid to sensitive areas including naxal infested areas.
Women voters participated in the election process with enthusiams. The Indo-Nepal border was sealed on the occasion. The district administration also stressed implementaion of Covid-19 protocol.
